Map of where Brighton
is.
First stop was the Birling Gap chalk grassland.
Close-up of the chalk cliffs.
Sunset in East Sussex.
Castle near Arundel.
Our Brighton hotels.
Brighton Pier, where we set up a long night of partying with karaoke.
Party!
It was Guy Fawkes day, which celebrates the foiling of a plan by the Catholic
Guy Fawkes to plow up the Protestant parliament. Fawkes is burned in effigy.
This was in Lewes, which packs thousands of people in for the bonfires and
fireworks.
The Pope is also ready to go (I saw a G.W. Bush ready to burn as well).
