Marbella, Spain (2002)

After some rapid-fire cathedral hopping, we were well overdue for a day off. We pretty much randomly selected Marbella (meaning Beautiful Sea) as a nice sounding beach town, and enjoyed some respite on the Mediterranean. We didn't go to any nude beaches, but tops were definitely optional here. This was not as wonderful a thing as some might think. Despite the visual assault, we were thrilled to finally have the chance to lounge around without trying to see as many sites as possible in one day.

Happy at the cafe and Carmel with Josh's girly pink-sugar coated rim drink.
