Neum, Bosnia (2007)

We unexpectedly ended up in Bosnia because, on the way down the coast of Croatia, Bosnia somehow claimed a little bit of coastal land that cut Croatia into more pieces.

At the border crossing we saw this unfamiliar flag.  We asked someone where we were and they told us Bosnia.  We discussed ethnic cleansing with inappropriate nervous humor.  At one of the border crossings the security had a problem with the papers of the guy sitting next to me.  They took him off the bus.  We left without him.

The door on the bus opened on its own during our journey.

Rubble.  (I was looking for a scene of war-torn Bosnia, but unfortunately, or rather fortunately it was hard to come by).

The rest of Neum was gorgeous and modern.

We had a dinner of bread, cheese and beer while watching the sunset.

That was pretty much it for our Bosnia trip.
