Segovia, Spain (2002)

Before we went to Europe, lots of people who had been to Spain gave us their opinions on which cities we should visit. But we got so many recommendations that they all started to blend together. A few days before we left, Carmel's friend Adam was visiting the Bay Area, and strongly recommended that we see Segovia. Since that was the name of one of the couches that we had looked at back in the day, it was easy to remember. Carmel's friend studies Classics so we figured he knew what he was talking about. Hence we saw Segovia, famous for its Roman aqueduct and an elaborate castle.

Roman aqueduct, El Acueducto.

The mountains in the back are called, Las Montanas de La Mujer Muerte, and are supposed to look like a woman laying down on her back.

El Cabildo Catedral (left) and El Alcazar (right).

The moat to El Alcazar.

Some knights in El Alcazar.  The middle knight on the left is Carmel.  The knight in the right picture goes to Cal.

Josh talking smack to a knight (left) and some chairs that we were not allowed to touch (right).

Some grand ceilings.  We were thinking of how we would design our unfinished ceiling back at home.

Ferdinand (left) and Isabella (right).

The 4 Knights (the one on the right is still alive).

Okay, that's enough for Segovia.
