Toledo

Every book about Spain that we saw made a big fuss over Toledo - it was touted as one of the most romantic places in Spain. It certainly was beautiful, but we somehow failed to get swept away by its romance. It seemed like one of the primary attractions was the El Greco connection, and we just didn't quite get it. There's some really interesting history - Arab, Jewish, Christian, and Roman influences along with plenty of sieges - and our lack of enthusiam should not be taken as a slight. We just found some of the other places that we saw more appealing.

El Catedral de Toledo.

Inside the Catedral (you're not supposed to take pictures, but I figure my digital can take ok ones without flash).

Some castle.

A close up of that castle (the castle is made of sand and those are tiny trees, just kidding).
