Toulon-Hyeres, France (2008)

A week after I got back from Porquerolles, I found myself back in the south of France again for another conference. The conference was good, and there were a lot of good talks. It was nice to be in the warm sunshine of the Mediterranean in the winter again.

A short walk uphill led us to a castle.

It looks solidly fortified.

The army of scientists who took the castle by mass times acceleration (or just force, yes I had to throw a nerdy scientist joke in there).

Our last day was the first day of the Beaujolais wine festival—or the first opening of the Beaujolais regional wine.
