Dresden, Germany (2007)

Dresden was just a brief meal stop on the way from Prague to Berlin during the road trip that started in Munich with Aaron (Otto), Matt (The Kaiser), Melanie (Melga-nie), Mia (Mila), Josh R (Hanz) and me (Franz).

Looking out the rear window at windmills behind a fuel truck.

Windmills everywhere!

Ok now this is an interesting picture.  See, we were walking along the path, as is shown here, when I turned towards the street.  A bicyclist zoomed past me and as he swerved around me, he shouted, “Asshole!”  But, of course it was in German, and the expletive took about 15 seconds with a whole lot of syllables and saliva (the guy actually kept saying stuff as he crossed the street, and his head was turned towards us rather than at the cars on the street).  Afterwards, when we were talking about it, Matt said that the bicyclist was upset because I stepped into the bike lane.  I was annoyed because the guy was on the sidewalk and should have been on the street.  The biker was in that little path adjacent to the yellow tram.  But, Matt and I had conflicting recollections.  Since we had no proof, we let the issue go.  Until, I saw this random picture on someone’s camera!!

We stopped for a kebab.  The dude was Kurdish and hated Turkish people.  We were just happy to have a decent meal.

We said goodbye to this Dresden local before heading off to Berlin!
